3D Map of Boston
The students have spent the last couple of weeks constructing a 3D map of the Boston Commons area that we will be visiting on our field trip next week. We talked a lot about the buildings and other things that can be found in Boston and used many recycled items to make them. We made sure to include the State House, Louisburg Square, and the Public Garden. The students were also pretty detailed and included things such as fire hydrants, traffic lights, playground equipment, and even the swan boats and duck statues! Hopefully this visual and creative experience will help make the walking route we take next week more meaningful. The whole field trip is based on the book called "Make Way for Ducklings" by Robert McCloskey.
